International celebrity showcase concert, DJs, 88 vendor bazaar, lion dance, fireworks and more!

Go International Group together with MYFM 101.8 with the full endorsement of Penang State Tourism & Development office will produce a grand Chap Goh Meh celebration titled “MYPENANG Chinese New Year Reunion Celebration”! The event, themed 'For the love of Penang, come home', will be held over two days from 27th to 28th February 2010 starting from 5.30pm until late at The Esplanade and Padang Kota Lama in Penang Heritage City.

This year, the Tiger year unfurls on Valentine's Day 2010 and will end with a bang on the Chinese Valentine’s Day – Chap Goh Meh in Penang. Visitors from near and far are invited to experience a 15th day Chinese New Year celebration unique to Penang. Over two days, MYPENANG Reunion will showcase an exhilarating showcase concert by international celebrity artistes from Taiwan; topped by an artistic blend of cross cultural and contemporary variety shows featuring singers, DJs, dancers, lion dancers and folk songs infused with modern sounds!

Highlights of the celebration include a truly Chinese, Malaysian Peranakan artistic showcase, an international showcase concert featuring celebrity artistes from Taiwan and Kuala Lumpur, a fashion bazaar and full moon street party. It will be a mix of urban youthful entertainment and traditional chap goh meh fun complete with fireworks, throwing of mandarin oranges and more!

Hosted by MYFM DJs Mei Yan, Nicholas, Royce, Wan Wai Fun and Jason, celebrity artistes including Genie, Y2J, Cindy Wu, Thomas and Jack, Danell Lee, Chen Keat Yoke, Justin Lan Kah Fai, Alvin and 'Astro Battleground 2009' Champion - Katoon Network even DJs Goldfish and LapSap performing.
