Date: 5th June 2010 , Saturday Venue: Fort Cornwallis Time: 8.30pm Admission: FREE On June 5th, this coming Saturday, Fort Cornwallis in Action will be proudly presented by ZXC Theatre Troupe. This upcoming Fort Cornwallis in Action is a blend of various cultural and art performances. 12 youth WuShu players from Ding Feng WuShu Academy are performing a variety of traditional WuShu, with the youngest one only aged 8 years. Next, cross talk performance by 2 talents from Penang Chung Ling High School (CLHS) Drama Society is sure to trigger your laugh button. They will perform an over 100 years’ cross talk script originated from China with incorporation of Peking opera elements. Also from CLHS, their dancing group will bring you to Mongolia, telling a story of Mongolian men living in the dessert, in particular the brotherhood amongst the men. Nowadays, Penangites not only talk but acting upon environmental protection; Chen Nan Nan brings together her son to perform a duet talk show on environmental issues. These serious issues will be brought up in a more relaxed approach, enlightening the audience from both the perspectives of adults and children. Another main highlight of the night will be a preview specially presented by ZXC Theatre Troupe for Fort Cornwallis in Action -- 3 Sisters (by Anton Chkhov from Russia) drama performance.
