The Chaiya Mangalaram Buddhist Temple, Burmah Lane, Penang will be organizing the Annual Songkran Water Festival on Thursday, 13th April 2017.
The Annual Songkran Water Festival has been organized for more than 15 years by this temple. Chaiya Mangalaran Buddhist Temple is the oldest Thai Temple in Malaysia, the temple was built in 1845. It is a unique and beautiful tourist attraction in Penang, welcoming thousands of foreign visitors daily.
The Festival will be officially declared at 11.30am by YB Danny Law Heng Kiang, the Penang State EXCO for Tourism Development and will be jointly officiated by Her Excellency Ms. Ekajit Kraivichien, Consul-General of Thailand.
