The Penang Amateur Boxing Association will be organizing an International Amateur Boxing Championship in conjunction with Pesta Pulau Pinang from 26th December to 30th December 2011 at Tapak Pesta, Sg Nibong.
Over 100 boxers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand will be participating in this championship. The finale of the championship is on the 30th of December 2011. The public does not need to pay any extra ticket fee to watch the championship.
The Penang Amateur Boxing Association is Malaysia’s pioneer boxing associations. They won 4 Gold Medals, a Silver Medal and a Bronze Medal in the last SUKMA 2011. For more information on the championship, please contact Mr K Arujunan at 016-4574002.
The Pesta Pulau Pinang will be going o until the 1st of January 2011, starting from 6.00 pm to 11.30 pm. Aside from the Boxing Championship, there are various activities and special concerts lined up till the 1st of January. This includes performances by local artists Zamani Slam, Lefhanded, XPDC and Raja Lawak. Local fruits, cuisines and handicrafts can also be purchased at the Tapak Pesta.
