To visit George Town by train visitor is to stop-off at Butterworth Railway Station. It is located next to the Butterworth Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry ride across to George Town. The ferry fee is RM1.20 if travel on foot. For visitors arriving via train, please enjoy your visit to George Town via our fleet of Hop On FREE Central Area Transit (CAT) buses. The buses ply the route between George Town ferry terminal and Komtar on 15-minute intervals from 6am-12midnight. The FREE CAT bus is sponsored by Penang Municipal Council (MPPP).
