The annual Penang Floral Festival is back again this year, from the 3rd of June to 10th of June 2012. It is organized by the Penang State Tourism Development & Culture Committee, Penang Art Society, FOMOS, Penag Floral Art Society, Malayan Nature Society and Friends of Botanic Gardens.
Visitors and horticulture enthusiasts may participate in the various competitions and activities which includes Talks on Fertilizers and Orchids, Canvas Shopping Bag Printing made from local plants, Colors of Nature Children’s Programme and Leaf Craft Demonstration.
The highlight of the Festival is the Bonsai, Suiseki and Adenium Competition and Exhibition with over 1,000 different plants All type of bonsai can be entered for the competition and exhibition, except those exceeding 120 cm in height. Cash prizes worth RM10,000.00 awaits the winners.
Aside from that, there will be retail outlets from all over Malaysia which will be promoting and selling horticultural and landscape products such as Bonsai and Adenium plants.
