Penang state government efforts to bring in more tourists! 25 TOP travel agents and media from Guangzhou are arriving in Penang on 10th June 2010 with one common objective that is to explore Penang as tourism destination and its promotion possibilities in their region. This 4-days official visit (10th – 13th June 2010) is jointly organized by China Southern Airlines, Penang state government and local tourism industry players. All the hotel accommodation, food and transport for these top travel agents and media are sponsored by local tourism industry players.
These top agents are about to explore the heritage city of George Town through visiting the Street of Harmony, St George Church, Kuan Yin Temple, Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Kapitan Keling Mosque and Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Chew Clan Jetty and Reclining Buddha. They will also go on for a round Island tour to visit the Spice Garden, Malay Village, Butterfly Farm, Fort Cornwallis and Port Swettenham.
