Date: 16th Nov 2011 Delegates from the Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan including Mr. Yoshiaki Matsuda, Ex-Speaker of the Kanagwa Prefectural Assembly visited Komtar today for a courtesy call. The aim of the visit is to further strengthened the international ties between Penang and the Kanagawa Prefecture that has been existing for the past 20 years. The delegates also visited the Penang Botanic Gardens, the Wat Chayamangkalaram (Reclining Buddha) Peranakan Mansion, Armenian Street and the Street of Harmony. Mr. Yoshiaki remarked he felt extremely lucky to visit Penang and hopes to learn from the success of the State. The Governor of the Kanagawa Prefecture will visit Penang from the 20th November until 22nd November, followed by its vice-speaker on the 24th November.  |
