Date: 18th Dec 2011 Time: 7pm to 11pm Venue: Padang Brown to Esplanade It is the time of the year again where Chingay, Lion dan Dragon Dance troupe members will display their unique skills by performing on the road this coming Sunday, 18th of December. The parade will start at Padang Brown at 7.00pm and will then pass through Datuk Keramat Road, Penang Road, Burma Road, Transfer Road, Sri Bahari Road, Chulia Street, Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling and Light Street. The parade ends at Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama) This year, the parade promises to bring more exciting and colourful performances, decorated with LED lights. There will be 30 Dragon Dance teams, 10 Lion Dance teams and 8 Chingay teams with LED Flag Poles. Look out for Miss Pesta Penang who will gracing the parade on a beautifully decorated Penang trishaw. At the finishing area in Esplanade, there will be a special “Lion Dance on Stilts” performance. Bring your family and friend, pick a good spot and enjoy this colorful parade.
