Venue: Esplanade Time: 7.00pm – 11.00pm Date: 17th of December 2011 (Saturday)
This Saturday, Chingay masters from various societies will battle for the title of “All-Star National Chingay Champion”. This year the winner of the competition will win a whopping amount of RM 5,000! Be part of this truly unique cultural tradition with a history of more than 100 years in Penang! The competition will be held at the Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama). Each team will have to balance a giant flag that ranges from 30 ft to 40 ft in height and about 60 pounds in weight in the most creative way. Rules & regulations and standard judging system has been formulated for this competition. It will be a professional competition and a fair platform for the Chingay performers.
