Join in the excitement this Saturday and Sunday as teams from all around the world compete the Dragon Boat race during the Plenitude Penang International Dragon Boat Festival at the Teluk Bahang Dam. The race involves 30 teams from as far as South Africa, UAE, United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, New Zealand and Malaysia.
Aside from the race, there will be food stalls selling Mee Udang, Satay, Char Koay Teow, Nasi Melayu, Sushi, Murtabak, herbal drinks and more which can be purchased using food coupons that will be sold on site. There will also be a Chingay performance, a photography competition and a lucky draw contest. Those who purchase a minimum of RM10 worth of coupons will be entitled to enter in the lucky draw and stand a chance to win the Grand Prize of a cruise to Phuket worth RM 4500, hotel stays, 50 Swork sunglasses worth RM799 and more!
This year, Rapid Penang will be providing a shuttle bus to the Teluk Bahang Dam from the Teluk Bahang bus station from 8.00am to 6.00pm during these two days. Visitors can take Rapid Penang bus number 101,104 and 501.
This event is fully supported by the Penang State Government and is an affiliated event of the International Dragon Boat Federation.
