A photography competition was held in conjuction with the Plenitude Penang International Dragon Boat Festival and the Penang Bon Odori Festival on the 30th of June and 21st of July respectively.

For the Plenitude Penang International Dragon Boat Festival we recieved 65 photographs and three winners have been chosen.

Winners of the Plenitude International Dragon Boat Festival photography competition:

1st Prize: Kong Heng Leong

2nd Prize : Chua Boon Keat

3rd Prize: Lee Siau Poh

The first prize winner will receive RM 800, followed by RM 500 for the 2nd Prize winner and RM300 for the 3rd Prize winner.

The Bon Odori Photography Competition recieved 135 photographs and below are the chosen winners:

Penang Bon Odori Photography Competition

1st Prize: Heng Kok Boon

2nd Prize: Tan Poh Wan

3rd Prize: Chua Boon Keat

The first prize winner will recieve RM 1,000, followed by RM 500 for the 2nd prize winner and RM 300 for the 3rd Prize winner.

The judges for the competition are Mr. Looi Teong Hong from the Penang Photography Society and Miss Chew Win Win from KDU College. Winning photographs are judged based on composition, techniques, creativity, and most importantly the unqiness of the shot which captures the event.
