Time: 11.00am – 11.00pm

Venue:  Esplanade, Penang

Experience authentic Indonesian Culture at the Indonesian Food, Handicraft and Cultural Festival 2013, on the 19 and 20 October. The festival is organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia with the support of Penang State Tourism.

The festival aims to promote the food , handicrafts and culture  of Indonesia to Penangites and tourists alike. On top of that, it hopes to foster an ongoing friendship between Indonesia and Penang.

Prepare to pamper your taste buds with the variety of mouth-watering cuisines from all over Indonesia such as Soto Padang, Satay Madura, Javanese food, Gado-gado , Siomay , Ayam penye, Dendeng balado and many more.

There will also be stalls selling Indonesian handicrafts and products such as Indonesian Batik from Surabaya and Yogjakarta, Muslim Cloth from Medan and Jakarta, Troso Woven from Jepara (central Java), Pangsi Iket Baduy, Angklung and Souvenir from East Java, Reyog from Ponorogo and many more.

The highlight of the festival will be the special cultural performances specially imported from Indonesia which includes Reyog Singo Taruno Joyo Art from Ponorogo, Dangdut from Medan, Arumba Angklung from Bandung, Nommensen from Medan and many more.
