AirAsia Battle Of The Year Malaysia 2015

Date: 8 August

Time: 12.00pm

Venue: GF Central Atrium

Get ready for a heated dance floor as dancers battle it out at the biggest street dance competition for a chance to represent Malaysia at the South Asia competition. The impressive line-up of international judges include Bboy Iron Monkey from the United States of America, Bboy Zero Nine from Kora and Bboy Bojin from Taiwan.

Traditional Wau Making Contest

Date: 9 August

Time: 2.00pm

Venue: GF Central Atrium

Show off your creative skills in crafting a Malay traditional kite and stand a chance to win amazing prizes! Open for teams consisting of a child and a parent. Materials provided by the Organiser will include Wau spine with paper, colour sand, glue paper and colour paper). Participants are required to bring their own colouring and/or decorating materials (colour pencils, paint, brushes, crayon and other art & craft materials).

The Metamorphosis, Android Version Showcase

Date: 12 August

Venue: GF Central Atrium

The Metamorphosis, Android Version showcase presents a creative reimagining of Franz Kafkas Metamorphosis, in which the leading character morphs into an android rather than a bug. This thoroughly modern play asks audiences to reconsider what it means to be human in an era of growing technology.

Groove to the beats of robotic percussion instruments by Australian percussionist Robbie Avenaim, which utilise technology and complex rhythms to reinterpret Malaysian musical culture.

Q-Kids Traditional Costume Competition

Date: 31 Aug 2015,

Venue: GF Central Atrium

Catch the little anak bangsa Malaysia parading their creative 1Malaysia costume and their love for the country, for a chance to win attractive prizes. Open to children aged 5-12 years old of any nationalities. Participants are required to dress in any Malaysian traditional costume of their choice (props are optional) and perform a one-minute talent presentation.
