In addition to that, Boria is a very special art form, unique only to Penang. Organized by Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara Pulau Pinang, the Festival will showcase 9 of the best Boria Troupes in Penang this year, merged into one very exciting comedy sketch show.

A typical Boria troupe consists of a leader, a chorus, comedians and musicians. The performance normally begins with a short comic sketches and followed by a song-dance routine featuring a juxtaposition of choral and solo parts.
