Line-Up for 2017 New Year Countdown

New Year Countdown is held every year at M Mall O2O, Karpal Singh Drive, Straits Quay, Gurney Paragon, Queensbay Mall, Complex Bukit Jambul and Auto-City. These night-long celebrations are filled with exciting entertaining performances and activities. Before the stroke of midnight, take part in the countdown towards a new year at these venues! Enjoy a brilliant display of fireworks to usher in the new year.
New Year’s Eve Countdown Party at Gurney Paragon Mall
Time: 7.30pm - 12.30 midnight
Venue: Festive Square, Gurney Paragon Mall
What better way to ring in 2017 than at the Festive Square overseeing scenic night view at Gurney Drive? Dance the night away on New Year’s Eve at Gurney Paragon Mall’s New Year’s Eve countdown party, featuring Dayang Nurfaizah and an unforgettable balloon drop from the sky comes midnight. Party starts from 7.30pm till late night.
Straits Quay 2017 New Year’s Eve Countdown Celebration
Time: 8.00pm onwards
This year’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Straits Quay Retail Marina will kick start at 8pm with a live band performance by the Wild Fire Band.
Another major highlight would be a spectacular fire show and LED performance by the talented Delirium group from Russia. There will also be fun game sessions and prizes to be won, with the DJ’s selection of sensational remixes to have the crowd immersed in the festive spirit.
As the clock strikes twelve, we will have grand fireworks reigned over the marina to usher in the Year 2017 and have the night beautifully wrapped up!
M Mall O2O MY FM Let’s Emoji Countdown Party

Venue: M Mall O2O, Penang
MY FM Let’s Emoji Countdown Party is the biggest countdown party in Penang, it will be held at M Mall O2O on 31 December 2016 from 9:30pm onwards. Famous MYFM Deejays like Jack Lim, Jeff Chin, Yoon, Jack Yap, Catherine, Wayne, Joe, Tong Tong, Chan Phei Yong and etc will perform alongside with local and international artist like Eric Chou, Danny Koo, Juztin Lan and many more. They will be joining you for the fun “Emoji” to welcome 2017 on a high note.
What’s more? The entrance is FREE but will be differentiated into 3 zones comprises of VVIP, Rock and Normal zone. The ticket can be obtained when you call in and win the games you play with MY FM deejays during their airing time or through their road tour across North Malaysia.
Auto-City X'mas & New Year Countdown Fiesta 2017
Date: 23 December – 2 January 2017
Time: 7.00pm onwards
Venue: Auto-City, Juru
This event is a popular huge fiesta pack with music, performances, competitions, pageant, coloring contest, exhibition and more. In addition to that, there will be a line-up of approximate 30 booths for you to visit starting from 23rd December to 2nd January 2017. Don’t miss up the chance to feel festive and amazingly memorable.
Auto-City welcomes visitors from everywhere to be dazzled by spectacular fireworks at Auto-City, Juru. Enjoy the beautiful night with variety of entertainment and the countdown will be hosted by Gary Yap from 8TV. Besides that, YDP Dato’ Maimunah will be the guest of honor together with other VIP guests, and entertainers.
Queensbay Mall Countdown Party 2017
Time: 7.00pm – 12.00pm
Venue: GF North Zone (Outside Starbucks)
Let the countdown to the end of the year begin and ring in the NEW YEAR 2017 at Queensbay Mall (North Zone, Outdoor) from 7pm onwards on 31 December 2016! There will be dazzling fireworks display lighting up the skyline of Queensbay Mall’s seafront when the clock hits midnight.
