Be assured of my support for many of the functions eg. the floral fest coming up.  I am a member of the Friends of the Botanical Society, and will probably be at the opening ceremony.  Also, I am appreciative of all the efforts to promote Penang through the website, which I have forwarded to some people so they can time their visits here with events they are interested in. I hope that the tour operators know how to use these events to their advantage too, just as Singapore does.

I was staying in Spore for over 10 years, and do miss the concerts and performances which I attended regularly, sometimes every month.  We should think of having open air performances in the Botanical Gardens as there is an old grandstand which is not in use. I remember as a child, listening to band performances every Sunday there, and our band should be able to get big crowds.  It is a pity that many performances are not well attended, like the French jazz peformance in New World Park recently, even though it was free.  I know Penangites are very "kiam siap" so we can't get the famous performers to come here, unlike the big spenders in KL.  But for performances that cost RM50 or less, there can be big crowds - just coordinate with some organizations and the crowds will come.  I also enjoyed "Emily of Emerald Hill" which I finally managed to see after missing it several times in Spore and also here.
Anyway, kudos to you and your team for putting in a good effort - keep it up.

Once again, we must commend you on this tourism calendar site. It has been a long time coming and has always been one of my biggest complaints re Tourism in Penang and it is fantastic to see you doing such an excellant job. Indeed, it is one of the few things that has had a remarkable turnaround. I think you may need to be put in charge of some other sections of tourism.
Now I am so happy to be able to pass on this site to the many enquirers re "What To Do" that I get emails from, both from holiday people and prospective MM2H people.
Keep up the good work.
