Situated by the banks of Sungai Dua, Selera Sri Tambang has been churning out lip smacking mee udang with huge prawns and crabs for the past 20 years. It is located in Bukit Mertajam at Seberang Perai.



Customers are usually torn between choosing the different types of crabs. The flower crabs are sold at RM5 per100g while the higher-priced Udang Galah is at RM7 per 100g and the Udang Kertas at RM9 per100g.

The noodles are done with an interesting style, Mee Goreng (fried) or the Mee Kuah (soup version). The Mee Kuah, with a spicy sweet broth is boiled down with most of the basic ingredients, prawn heads and lots of tomatoes. p8210805Tucked into the ground floor of the Sri Sayang Apartment block, at the entrance to Batu Ferringhi, this little pork-free café offers typical Penang-style choo char food but with a difference:  for just RM19.90 per person (RM10.90 children under 10), you can “Eat As Much As You Want” of the 88 dishes they have on offer.

Managed by Andrew Lim, the food is cooked  by his brother Lim Thang Wann aka Chef Wann. For that price, you are hardly going to see tenderloin and salmon on the menu...
