BY CK LAM Sigi’s Bar and Grill Beach Bar, an extension of the popular Sigi’s Bar and Grill on the Beach opened recently. Standing right on the beach in Golden Sands Resort along Batu Feringgi, Sigi’s Bar and Grill Beach Bar, is as authentic as a beach bar can get. This relaxed resort-style bar can accommodate 60 persons and a circular bar counter that seats 10 persons. There is a star-shaped tent sheltering the bar which features bean bags and cushions on the open air, breezy concept.
Drinks available include branded beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks and mojitos.
The mojitos and mocktails included the signature SBG Mojito, ginger orange mojito, lychee mojito, pineapple mojito, strawberry mojito and the mojito classico.
Chef Federick who helms the kitchen of Sigi’s Bar and Grill presided over the menu of Spanish style tapas. Available on the menu are baked cheesy meatballs, fried silver fish with lime and chili, garlic cheese bread, hoi sin chicken wings with sesame seed, ocean seafood fritters with wasabi tartar, pan-fried quesadilla with salsa and sauteed garlic beef sausages in spice tomato sauce. Other light snacks include salt and pepper calamari, French fries, sigi’s melts, nacho corn chips with either tomato salsa or chili beef dips. There is truly something for everyone at Sigi’s Bar and Grill Beach Bar - drinks, live music and food. The bar is open 7 days a week, from 5pm to 12 midnight.
